Holiday Wishes

Aloha! Today's Limited Supplies challenge at SCS was limited layers. Something I can most definitely handle. I had leftover Christmas paper that I need to use in some way so I decided to focus on the holiday season coming up.

The card base is a 6" square piece of retired Christmas Polka Dot paper that I found for a quarter a sheet (what a bargain!) folded in half. It made for an inter sting size card. I cut a 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of basic red and dry embossed them with a Fiskars Texture Plate. I then printed my sentiment Holiday Wishes from Word and mounted that on a piece of basic green and placed in the bottom right corner. To finish it off I added a corner frame with faux stitching to the top left of the red layer, drew faux stitching on the sentiment and used my corner rounder to scallop the outer edges.

I love this simple card and think it has potential to be a great sketch. :) I am looking forward to a weekend full of scrappin!
