Mele Kalikimaka

That is Hawaiian for Merry Christmas. I thought I would extend a little island holiday cheer to you and share the lyrics to Hawaii's very own Christmas song.

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say "Merry Christmas to you."

To hear the song sang by Bing Crosby, you can go HERE and check it out.

Or check out this youtube video with the hula.

It is a great upbeat carol that is sang with pride here. Enjoy!

Mahalo for stopping by! Mele Kalikimaka!
