Let Me Brighten Your Day

Well, today was just an all out bad day. Before the commotion started I was able to get a little card making done, unfortunately I didn't have a lot of time. The sketch challenge for today was fairly simple but unique. This would be a great sketch (as long as you don't go overboard) to make a batch of cards. Check out the challenge HERE. Be sure to scroll down through there and take a look at the other great work.

Here is the card I created for the challenge. Because my DBF is wanting to play poker I am going to make this one brief :) The card is 4 1/2" x 4 1/4", a little smaller than what I usually make. I started by creating my flowers from the Sizzlits flower, center and leaf set with yellow and red card stock. I a layered these together. The blue is 3" x 3 1/2" and is embossed with Fiskar's Texture Plates which I just purchased on Monday (yea for Labor Day sales). The red ribbon is wrapped around the blue and tan card stock and adhered to the card base. I then attached two darling pink flowers using green brads as the center to the bottom of the blue. The bottom of the card says: Just a little something to brighten your day.

Cute Simple Sweet Good stuff, yea? I thought this came out well. Mahalo for looking :)
